Bristol U3A

This post was originally developed as input to the U3APlus programme. We hope that it remains generally relevant.

clifton_suspension_bridge-9350Here is some information for those of us with Age-related issues, Sensory issues and Mobility issues.

I am a member of Bristol U3A.  Our monthly meeting place is Broadmead Baptist Church Hall, Union St. Bristol.   There is a lift to the meeting room which has a good PA system and a Hearing Induction Loop (AFILS). Toilets, including for disabled, on the same floor.

Our Annual Bulletin, distributed to members by post, includes symbols for each group or activity indicating: Disabled or Easy access; Some steps; Parking possibilities; Time to nearest bus stop, Venue size and a phone contact number. Our home page, http://u3asites.org.uk/bristol/home has the annual groups’ programme too, and each group (at least all the ones I checked) also includes the information on access, parking transport etc.
Here. on this website, is a place where you can ask a question about the issues listed under the photo,  or engage in a conversation about how you, or your own U3A are dealing with these issues.  This page is not directly linked to the Bristol U3A, so if you want to contact them you can do so so via the home page. http://u3asites.org.uk/bristol/home.
